Workman Nydegger received a Top Tier Ranking by Lawyers World in its 2012 Global Leading Firms Survey.  The survey is based on a poll of the Lawyers World readership.  Votes received from its readers are internally assessed by the Editors, and then externally assessed by a panel of judges chosen for their experience and knowledge of the industry.

During the judging process a number of factors are considered.  Voting readers are asked to identify those firms that are noted for having a high degree of ability in complex situations, those that continually innovate, and those that provide a level of service that represents overall value.  In a letter to Rick Nydegger, one of the firm’s founding shareholders and former managing director of the firm,  Lawyers World noted that in receiving the Top Tier Ranking, “your firm has received a significant volume of votes.”  Brent P. Lorimer, the firm’s current managing director, stated that “It is truly an honor for the firm to receive such a prestigious recognition, especially one that is based on recognition by the readership and Editors of Lawyers World.”

Founded more than 25 years ago, Workman Nydegger is one of the largest firms in Salt Lake, and has consistently earned recognition as one of the top intellectual property firms in the nation.  The firm represents a wide array of clients in all areas of intellectual property law, including patent, trademark, copyright, unfair competition, and related litigation and licensing matters, and in a diverse range of technologies, including computer systems, software, e-commerce and information technology; electronics and electrical engineering; pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, chemical, biotechnology, and medical and life science technologies; physics and optics; mechanics and mechanical engineering and alternative energy.
