Overview

Roger McConkie’s practice focuses on protecting company assets and shareholder value. He is a commercial litigator whose practice involves representing world class convention centers, sports complexes, and arenas. He also represents physicians in state licensing matters. Roger is also a certified mediator. Clients rely on Roger’s more than 34 years of experience to assist with complex commercial disputes. Roger was appointed at the request of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission as a receiver in the United States District Court in a $15 million dollar securities fraud case.

  • Successfully extricating clients from fellow shareholders in complex business dissolution.
  • Obtaining multimillion dollar settlement for client in a personal injury litigation.
  • Successfully assisting clients in enforcing restrictive employment covenants.
  • Successfully representing both employers and employees in employment separation agreements.

Mr. McConkie has successfully tried and handled complex litigation as first chair in both state and federal court.    He also has successfully tried and handled administrative matters and evidentiary hearings before the Utah Department of Professional Licensing. He was appointed by the Honorable Federal District Court Judge Dale A. Kimball as Receiver in a 15 Million Dollar Ponzi Scheme matter brought in United States District Court by the United States Securities Exchange Commission.  He regularly advises clients on matters regarding risk management, strategic planning, potential liabilities, business organizations and contract disputes.  He has successfully engaged in significant trademark litigation and has obtained injunctive relief in Lanham Act matters. Insurance defense practice includes first and third party defense litigation, wrongful death, personal injury, business loss, property damage, catastrophic trucking accidents, arson and bad faith claims.
